PERSONAL INVESTIGATION
Miniature Street View
This primarily follows on from Stage 2 and looks at the physcial miniature models again, while applying a new element. Creating the illusion of narrow street or long road through a false background displayed on a device while using the miniatures themselves to convey the twisted perspective.
There is a remnant of the noir theme still present with the placement and setting of the minature figures and can perhaps be inferred through the cars but isn't directly emphasised, leaving the viewer with room for their own interpretations.
Clever use of light had to be applied to create the illusion of the sunlight from the false background being transferred into the real miniature setting. A small spotlight with an orange filter and some material to difuse helped to further create that illusion with overly flooding the image with an orange glow.
